Why have I not heard of you before?
We advertise very little, hoping that a big proportion of our business
will come from the referrals of our satisfied customers. This means
we can spend more time focusing on delivering a great service, and
less time on deciding where we should advertise, it also helps us
to keep down the costs. Please bear this in mind when you use us
- the success of our business relies on word-of-mouth, so please
pass on the word.
What is your callout charge?
We do not have any callout charges.
How much does your service cost?
You can call us free on 0800 9554424 or call us on any of the other
numbers or email
us for an estimate, but we aim to give you a better deal than a
specialist tradesmen.
Does this include materials?
Some customers use us purely as a labour service, providing their
own materials if needed, or we are just as happy to supply all the
materials needed.
Do you do free estimates?
Yes- all estimates are free.
How quickly can you come out?
We are not really an emergency service - most of the work we do
is booked in advance, but we can often squeeze jobs in on the same
or next day so it is worth calling to check availability.
Do you offer a 24hr service?
No - usual hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We can do jobs
outside these hours or in the evening or weekend by special arrangement.
Do you have any CORGI/Gas Safe registered engineers?
No. We are general handymen, who do a wide range of jobs, but we
are not CORGI/Gas Safe registered, and we don't work with gas.
Will I have to wait in all day for your handyman to show
up?
No - we give a specific time at which we aim to arrive. We are nearly
always bang on time, but sometimes (particularly towards the end
of the day) we might be a little late, but we will always call you
in advance to give you a revised estimated arrival time. If you
don't wish to take time off work, we can collect your keys in advance
or from your workplace, do the work and then return your keys to
you later in the day.
How big a job can you take on?
Generally jobs range from ½ an hour to a couple of days but
we do sometimes do larger jobs lasting several days or more.
